Wicked 2024
This film is mental. I don’t know what’s worse. Being green and having a white woman tell your story as an effigy of you (that she lit on fire) burns in the background. Or having the people look at you like you’re a freak when their professor is literally a talking goat.
That being said, this felt like somewhat of a return to classic studio-era productions, which is always a win. 9 million tulips grown to be used for 4.34 seconds of footage, only in Hollywood.
Performances: 8/10
Set Design: 7.5/10
Emotional Manipulation: 8/10Galinda is a villain. That is all.
