Guess this movie is the not only potentially the last hurrah for new traditionally animated movies in theaters, but for the entire Looney Tunes brand as a whole since apparently WB pulled the entire Looney Tunes library off their streaming service. Nothing like sabotaging one of your own flagship series and cultural icons. Anyways this was fun to visit in theaters one more time. Something I didn’t mention in my initial review was my appreciation of hiring actual voice actors…

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack 1988
I decided to roll the dice and go see this despite having next to no knowledge about this series as a whole. I’ll probably never take the time to commit to the massive undertaking that getting into this huge franchise kinda necessitates to get to the endpoint that is this film, but I just wanted to see some good late 80’s anime animation and decided “fuck it”. Pardon My Scotch 1935
This gets a 10/10 for that pineapple shot alone. I don’t know if it was intended to look as ridiculous as it did but it sure was hilarious regardless. Also it turns out Moe broke 3 ribs during a stunt in this, which is impressive considering he continued to play the scene until the scene cut. Overall this is a wacky stooges short that had me consistently laughing throughout, which is ideal. There is also a dinner scene where Curly does the iconic bread roll dance that Chaplin made famous in the Gold Rush, so that was a nice little reference.

Three Ages 1923
Enjoyable film, tho not one of Keaton’s best. Most of the creative gags and stunt work come towards the later half of the film, leaving the first half feeling a bit slow for my taste. I feel like the premise of the film lent itself to a lot of untapped potential. I’m torn between 3.5 and 4 stars for this one.
