also weirdly reminded me of being (one of) the only black women in a pwi
i also like that although it is somewhat similar to get out in terms of underlying themes it shows specifically the black female experience in a way that is different to a lot of the black female led stories i’ve seen as she had no pre established trauma to harden her character, and they let her stay loveable throughout
i really enjoyed this film and don’t really have any negative things to say about it.
