A psychotic moviegoing experience that I couldn’t help but laugh through. It careens you from one vignette to the next, which makes for messy and unpredictable storytelling, but I was charmed enough by every stupid performance, and the way it looked, and the Vibe of the whole thing. It worked for me. Very much a Snowpiercer follow-up, for whatever that’s worth (still my favourite BJH movie)

The Devils 1971
Oh my goodness. One of the most horrific and compelling things I've ever seen, it got under my skin and I fear it will stay there longer than I feel comfortable. Deeply evil, I loved it in all its lechery. Truly cannot believe how cool this movie looks. Every single set design was perfect, I found myself regularly pausing the movie just to take it all in.

Man this might be one of my favs of all time hey. Mile-a-minute shit with a dozen moving parts that rivals Cohens at their best, but with a rough edge that’s always gonna be more appealing to me. Combine that with the ultra specific suburban Australian minutiae, the incredible background detail, the perfect slapstick, makes for a real pleasure every time. Phenomenal vibe in this movie
