  more than Spider-Man (2001), I think this is a predecessor to the Marvel movies. cheap, captive, uncommitted, goofy. except this is lovable, with a thieving Bill Conti score and Lynn Christopher set decoration. Dolph’s fits def require Parental Guidance

  needs more juice!!!! about as many eyerolls as laughs, still kinda perfunctory given how ~zany~ it gets, but it seems like everyone onscreen was having fun at least and anyway I’m one of those lesbians who’s a sucker for kissing to charli (like the first dance at my wedding was “official”)

  Personally, I LOVE having your cake and eating it too. I love cake!!!! I love movies!!!! I promise I’m not opposed to the 3.0+1.0 levels of manic meta storytelling (that was cute) or the “Matriculated” future (that’s what I’d guessed) or the coverage-choreography (okay, maybe it looks a little ugly), it’s just that the punches don’t land meaningfully for me. It doesn’t break a sweat. I just don’t think it can pull off this script when the action looks…
