Some exciting and tension filled moments but ultimately the characters felt flat. Certain great themes were created but not fully explored and it felt like the film was cut down from what it originally intended to be.

This movie gets better with every watch. A point of discussion that was really great after watching it this time around was the decision to exclude showing the good people of Gotham as much as possible until the end because of Bruce’s hyper focus on being “Vengeance” and beating up bad guys that he realized he was one step away from being just like them.

Might be the best Asian American experience film made so far. Especially from a coming of age perspective. Maybe it’s too bold to claim so quickly after watching but it’s how I felt while seeing it.

Stunning cinematography. Great use of reflections in mostly non “self reflection” trope type of ways. I was along for the ride until the last 10 minutes. Really wish the film didn’t resolve the way it did.
It felt sad for the sake of feeling sadness whereas I think the rest of the film handled the idea of talking to your ghosts in a very fluid way.
