This is such a moving film. It is about grief and guilt, yes, but also the inter-generational nature of it all. It threads a tight needle of not making things too on the nose, and I think it largely succeeds.
And Danielle Deadwyler is now film-proof. She is just excellent ALWAYS.
You can hate this movie and not have any political/social reason for doing so. In fact, you only need eyes, ears, and/or a brain to do so. Several notes:
1. Gal Gadot is very bad in this.

This was definitely funny at certain parts. But the pacing and CGI, in some cases, were……weird. Plus, outside of relatively gross unicorns, it felt like we had seen this movie before.
This movie is like taking 450,000 balls of yarn, unrolling each 6 inches, and then calling it a blanket.
With good acting, at least.
