  C'est le deuxième film de Ladj Ly traitant de la banlieue parisienne. Après avoir traité du rapport Police/Banlieue dans "Les misérables" celui-ci aborde le rapport de la politique à la banlieue et notamment de sa gestion par la mairie. Malheureusement et malgré un casting au top, ce traitement vire progressivement à une opposition assez caricatural (écueil que son film précédent évitait) et de nouveau sans résolution.

  The Hand 2020

  Je pourrais regarder Chang Chen coudre des robes pour Gong Li au ralentis avec la fumée de sa cigarette s'élevant du cendrier pendant des heures.
  Étonnement c'est d'ailleurs un film construit autour d'une forte tension érotique ce qui est rare chez Wong Kar-Wai, le seul autre exemplen de cela dans sa filmographie étant "Happy Together". Et l'alchimie entre Gong Li et Chang Chen fonctionne tout aussi bien que celle entre Tony Leung Chiu-Wai et Leslie Cheung.

  A visually stunning movie, that definitely deserves a restauration in the years to come to aloud people to enjoy all this visual grace.
  Not as chaotic as some other work by Tsui Hark, the story here folllows a more classical path, but what a path. This story about a two young adults falling in love despite social differences, gender problematic (she pretending to be a boy to attend an all boy school), and the society rules will take you in a rather unique emotional spiral.

  Swordsman III: The East Is Red 1993

  This last episode of the swordsman trilogy suffers like the first from a rather confusing plot, in addition to the absence of the main character of the two previous movies (Lingwu Chung).
  The action scenes, which remain the main strength of this film, nevertheless remain pleasant, but the use of the sword disappears completely, breaking the coherence with the other two films.
  The film nevertheless gains in emotion here thanks to the romantic relationship between the duo Brigitte Lin and Joey Wong, which allows this third film to hook the viewer emotionally in a rather unprecedented way in this trilogy.
