  Having seen four M:I movies before this one, the use of Job as a pseudonym and biblical reference really brought the character of Ethan Hunt into focus, he is constantly losing everything in every one of these films, but in the end still believes in Scientology or whatever.

  Liked how the bad guys didn't want more power, or mass destruction, they just wanted to maintain the status quo. They had a magic button to instantly end the rebellion peacefully, but would rather let an entire city almost die than simply press a button.

  Also Arnold's one-liners were so not-badass it felt like parody.
