Steven Soderbergh and David Koepp are really amazing at their jobs. I love that this film just exists for both of them to experiment with form. Which okay that makes this a minor film. But it’s two grand masters of their art experimenting and both are on the same page. I’m down.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man 2024
If Full Moon Features had the rights to Hellboy in the 90s at their peak this is what we would’ve gotten down to comic book writers working on the script. This is not a bad thing. A half star more than it deserves because it’s worth digging up.

Hoo boy. This film is awful. And I LOVE IT! This movie is a pure train wreck. It's a disaster. It does everything wrong. It has a scene of a fireproof woman walking out of an explosion set to I kid you not Rolling in the Deep. This is the kind of movie you want to scream "have you seen this!?!" I love it so much.

You know what the tragedy of this movie is? Nobody ever gets their teeth knocked out or maced in this film. And all of them deserve it. Every single character in this film deserves to be smacked for being an atrocity of humanity. They're self absorbed egomaniacs who are obsessed with their art (which stinks like a landfill in August!) and not selling out at the same time all of their friends are DYING. This is a movie for sociopaths.
