Hoosiers 1986
Half a star for Hackman and Hopper’s performances. The score is overbearing and the whole thing plays like a Mr Show parody of itself. It’s not really clear what the stakes are either. He’s fighting for the motion offense? I mean, he’s right but it’s weird that there’s like a trial scene trying to oust him. Good basketball scenes. This movie should’ve been a basketball game.

Christmas in July 1940
Didk Powell has anti-rizz as the dopiest dope who ever derped. Just a dummy who succeeds because of dumb unearned confidence and gullibility. Very funny overall with great supporting performances, especially Maxford and the other coffee guy.
