KIINDA weird (if you know, you know) considering Miyazaki got a hand on this + the year this was released (and it's a japanese animation at that)... I'm just gonna say that part didn't age well.
But other than that, this rocks. Funnily enough, I discovered the OST first rather than the film.
Ah yes, exploring the japanese culture of enjo kōsai with a VR/first person perspective and attractive monologues about becoming an adult. Seems weird for a gaijin; foreigner, but it does exist in Japan; compensated dates that is.
I don't know if I like this better or Ritual, both has unique traits of themselves
Movies like this doesn't need to be taken too seriously tho, especially japanese teen drama kinda movies. If you're not used to watching J-Dramas (or even anime), i think you'll be confused of how the actor/actress acts. Yes, it's kinda weird tbh lol, but it izz what it izz.
It's enjoyable, got some cute moments too. I also can't lie that i watch this because of the Queen herself, Nana Komatsu. Not her best movie ngl, she excels more in J-Drama series. But, if you wanna check her movies out, make sure watch Tomorrow I Will Date With Yesterday’s You (2016).
