a hauntingly beautiful robert eggers-esque nosferatu adaptation just as promised. an eggers film never fails to amaze me— the way his films are all canopied by the macabre. and wow the shots are all so insanely and horrifyingly beautiful— the way tears fall, the costume designing (specifically ellen’s victorian wardrobe; ellen’s evening gown adorned with lilacs reminiscent of orlock’s past, and ellen’s black costume with the headpiece and coat right before becoming possessed) just so so so beautiful!! lily rose…
