Cry of the Werewolf 1944
My mom talked about this movie my whole life, saying Nina Foch really scared her in it. Finally got to it tonight. Solid werewolf entry. Holds up really well. If you’re a fan of werewolf movies like I am, it’s legit a must.

Locked 2025
Skarsgard is on a roll. He shoulda been nominated for his “Nosferatu” (and probably even won), I personally loved his take on Draven in the overdue remake of “The Crow”, and now he’s face-to-face with probably the best one doing it, Sir Anthony Hopkins. And Hopkins is All. In. He’s brilliant. So many unarguable truths spat in this nail biter, like those very nails themselves. I loved it.

Snow White 2025
There was a good new song in the beginning. That’s one nice thing I can say. It reminded me that “Snow White & The Huntsman” was awesome and I should watch it again. So there’s that too. That was a wayyyyy better movie. I mean, “Snow White & The Three Stooges” was a better movie and Curly isn’t even in it. This movie is downright horrible. During quiet parts if you listen hard enough you can hear Walt Disney spinning in his grave.

Style is Soderbergh’s middle name. Deft might as well be a nickname. Koepp’s script is taut (that could be HIS nickname). Blanchett may get the best line in the movie, but Abela steals the whole darn thing.
