Yeah. I still agree with my previous review. I mean, this time I knew what to expect so I wasn't as invested in the "plot," so to speak. I think it's one of those things where there's Too Much Symbolism to where everything sort of loses its meaning. Also...no shit he's gonna go back to his family? I feel like the stakes weren't high enough, so the choice to stay or leave didn't feel all that significant. "But the world is bad and chaotic." Okay? What's the Point?

Gorgeous art tho goddamn. Just stunning and mesmerizing details.

Me when I'm in the trenches.

I used to really like this as a child. The monkey reminded me of Ace Ventura. Monkeys had a huge moment in the 90's. Return to monke.

Deducted a star for the White Savior Complex. Had the main character been Desi instead, it would've hit harder. Great set design tho.

It's so Bollywood !!!!!! Very dramatic acting and cinematography. A whole…

The most valuable aspect of life is that you only get one go at it.

Honestly kind of a let down ? Really neat concept, ol Bobbie Pat does a great job, but the voice-over narrating of it all really upset me. Just give me a good story, dammit! Definitely one of Bong Joon-ho's funnier films (good balance of comedy and abysmal tragedy), but not his strongest film. I'm sure it was fun to make! Also, not every movie needs to be a Masterpiece. Just have fun! Enjoy the ride for what it is!
