The Wild Robot 2024
Good movie. Could have been great with better writing. The writers consistently resort to snark and self-aware humor rather than believable animal behavior and sincerity.
Tonally the movie struggles to tread the line between humor and the cruelty of nature. A lot of gags feel out of place and out of character.
I feel the movie would have been stronger without the migration sequence. I would have preferred the outside world be left to our imagination, and we didn’t need the character of Longneck shoehorned in the third act.Translated from by -

Starts strong, ends dumb. At its best when it was building characters and doing its own thing. At its worst when it was mimicking scenes and pulling dialogue from the previous films. Deep fake Ian Holm was a big dud. Can’t we just pretend no there were only 2 prior movies in this franchise?
