With Demi Moore in The Substance, and now Pamela Anderson in this, I really hope this is a sign of other stars of yesteryear having a renaissance and a reassessment of their skills. But perhaps it is most damningly seen as an indictment of Hollywood's inability to cast women effectively at their height so that it doesn't have to take this sort of film in the evening of the career to recognise their capacity.
