  Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024

  This is no Fury Road... and that's fine.

  I would have preferred the movie to focus on a single adventure of Furiosa's rather than try to tell her entire life story (see: any other Mad Max movie).

  The full origin story route they took might've worked better if they didn't time jump past the moments that made Furiosa the character we all know and love.

  The car chases are still exciting and Chris Hemsworth is entertaining.

  This reminded me a lot of Okja. There are good ideas here but as a whole it didn't fully gel for me. Robert Pattinson gives an interesting performance but passive protagonists aren't my thing. I also wish Steven Yuen's character was used more.

  Saw this movie the other night and it's one of the most creative, ingenious, slapstick, live-action, looney tunes-esque comedies you'll ever see. For best viewing, see it in a packed theater (if it's playing near you) or watch it with a group of friends when it comes to streaming. You won't be disappointed. The ending is epic!

  This felt like a mashup of Terry Pratchett's Postal and Disney's The Emperor's New Groove... two of my favorites. I love a good origin story and Klaus does a great job of creating the origin of Santa. Fun and heartwarming with great animation.
