in pursuit of great storytelling one must not dwell on such feeble things as purpose. flow is a beautiful animation and screenplay because of its journey. what is it trying to convey? is it family? is it global warming? is it religious? doesn't matter. it's a cat trying to survive the flooding planet and in his survival he finds himself surrounded by something greater than his solitude – the silent company of condition. the beautiful art of it all makes the storytelling so much more compelling – life encapsulated in the desperation of enduring. beautiful through and through.
