Scorcese directs these incredible movies I have next to nothing to say about. When I saw Killers of the Flower Moon, it was the same story. As in, literally, on an abstract level, the two narratives are very similar: based-on-a-true-story period pieces about an abusive criminal husband with a likable face surrounded by worse monsters.
Most of the interest and appeal here is on a technical level; the structure, the cinematography, the mood. It's like a shepherd's tone, constantly escalating…
