  Animal Kingdom 2010

  I love crime thrillers and I love crime thrillers with terrifying Australian criminals especially. Great score and some really fantastic characters.

  That said, I found myself slightly frustrated at how passive the protagonist is. In his situation I suppose some passivity is to be expected but it was a bit much. The final act meanders on as well, leaving me frustratingly clawing for an ending, which is admittedly very satisfying and enjoyable.

  Great flick for anyone who feels like the gangster drama genre has gotten all too familiar.

  The Angry Birds Movie 2016

  This movie is straight up xenophobic propaganda. It's amazing to me that mainstream reviews didn't touch on this because it isn't even remotely subtle, this movie just pushes this godawful fascist agenda and it's mindblowing. I hated every second of this movie and I'm not even opposed to somewhat soulless movies targeted towards children. I expected a kids movie with a lot of goofy, tacky jokes, but what I got was a bundle of propaganda that made me sick to my stomach.

  Really messed with my daddy issues, but super beautiful, amazing performances, fantastic writing. I felt the end fell a little flat and seemed weird though. A lot of good rabbit action in this film (as in rabbits being held by farmers).
