Soylent Green is an excellent cautionary Sci-Fi movie directed by Richard Fleischer, it's an exploration/prediction of many things ranging from poverty, lack of resources, climate change, overpopulation and a few other things and while it doesn't get the time to fully explore each of those topics it naturally weaves each one of them through the story organically to focus on a few, those being poverty and lack of resources.
