It seems to me that - on the balance of all the other demands on his time - Colm had time to play the fiddle and chat!

This is a good film. But I don’t think it’s my wheelhouse.

Perhaps because I found my drive into town more stressful than the first hour (very little occurred in either instance) it lost its grip on me and I found my concern lying with what lunatics might I encounter on the Pershore Road home? Rather than, what further burden can this poor soul withstand?

It’s technically accomplished, beautiful visually and nothing more relatable than someone taking their work trousers off…

    “What’s it about?”
“It’s set in a restaurant, ‘the wife’ makes eye contact with someone and they have an affair”
Hmm I thought, might get bored but I’ll give it a go. Boy was I wrong! What a spectacle, what a thrill, what a fun frilly headband.

This movie treats the audience as if they are stupid, yet I think I needed to be treated stupider because I have no idea what I’m meant to take away from this film.
Don’t fear aging because it could be worse? You could morph into a monster?

Whereas Dorian Gray is really about morality this is actually about aging, but what was said here that we didn’t know already?
