  The First Omen 2024

  Catching up on some backlogs of films I have recently watched but not logged

  There’s some interesting filmmaking here. I quite enjoyed what the film was trying to do, I was pleasantly surprised with how creepy and fun this movie was. The camerawork was suitably claustrophobic; it felt like there was never an opportunity to completely relax, major credit to the director and cinematographer for this.

  The lead actress was great and the homage to Possession was suitably respectful to the original film. Whatever this director puts out next, I’ll be sure to check it out!

  I’m slightly disappointed with this, maybe because of the great hype campaign surrounding Nicolas Cage for his role, but overall I enjoyed my time even if I am left feeling like there could have been much more to this film.
