MUDHONEY (1965) is Meyer’s second attempt at “serious” filmmaking (after Lorna) and it shows. This is your (literal) stereotypical “stranger walks into a backwoods town, finds work on a farm, falls for the gal on the farm, fights her asshole husband, befriends the kindly older guy there, causes a scandal, fools around with the whores in the shack nearby, gets involved in local prejudices, humps hot busty blondes who make sour mash, and everyone gets hurt kind of hicksploitation that Joe Bob Briggs cheers for. Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed 2021
Let me save you the 90 minutes: Bob Ross was a sweetheart and a fine fellow. But people want to make money off his name and legacy. The end.
This isn’t a documentary it’s a sad exercise in fan service and click bait. You already know everything you need to know about Bob Ross. The guy was awesome. Roll credits.

A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon 2019
I thought it was terrific. Cricket thought it was “ok”, but I’m guessing she didn’t catch all the references. Recommended Sunday afternoon viewing with a kiddo who likes claymation.
