The Muppets 2011
I have the utmost respect for this movie. Ultimate bad day cure. I don’t know how a human could watch this and not grin ear to ear the entire time. It’s just so damn jubilant. The songs are reallllly good too and sell the whole thing. The opening number, man or muppet, and rainbow connection are all such classics and elevate the whole thing. I can totally see why Segel says this is the thing he’s most proud of. It’s tremendous.

Okay I’ve seen this movie a lot but it really clicked for me this time. Probably my fifth viewing. Not exactly sure. I still vividly remember watching this the first time back it high school. It kickstarted my life of Tubi and scared the piss outta me.
Watching it this time, I feel like I really started to see some deeper layers to it. I haven’t watched a video essay or anything, but I love how (I think) this movie…
