  oh yeah, Matt Farley, you are a good dude
  your movies are so wonderful
  you did a good job answering questions about them even though it was very hot

  what was everyone smoking while watching this lol. it’s visually spectacular but unbelievably regressive and hollow. I would love to say “yay pretty movie!!” and just ignore the messaging but it’s kind of impossible to do when the entire plot purports to be a critique of patriarchy. the movie pretty much just articulates the malaise of white women quasi-feminists who feel they must be perfect in order to “make it” in capitalist patriarchy. it’s big Jia Tolentino “shopping at amazon…
