  God, I forgot how much of an absolute prick Charles Laughton is in this.

  Also, it's fucking wild that all 3 leads were nominated for the Best Actor oscar. Totally deserved, but definitely a bit of an anomaly.

  God, I wish I was anywhere near as effortlessly cool as Robert Mitchum in this. If only smoking didn't, you know, fuck you up.

  So glad I finally live somewhere I can actually see old ass movies on the big screen on a regular basis. My couch is great, but there's nothing like a dark theatre and just you and the screen.
