  How this movie flopped is beyond me. This was a true love letter to cinema and it showcased its importance to culture and to every single character. The change from no sound films to talkies was portrayed very well because of Nelly’s New Jersey accent affecting her screen presence and Conrad’s inability to adjust to the new era of film making, which actually happened to actors in reality. Although there is a 3 hour run time, the film utilizes the length to its fullest. Babylon is amazing. 

  Honey, you don’t become a star. Either you are one or you ain’t… I am.

  Robert Oppenheimer was a historical figure that I really looked past in my prior interest in World War 2. I merely looked at him as the man who created the atomic bomb. While this contribution to science has always been seen as a world changing event, this film forced me to think about what this capability of mass destruction that he unleashed into the world. 

  As always, Nolan did an amazing job and told a tale that is both compelling…

  The first 45 minutes had me hooked with great action and enough story to make me care about the characters. Then, after he went to train, I was completely lost. Story fell flat and I just didn’t care anymore. The action fell off too. I just really didn’t like this movie
