  gladiator being one of my favorite films of all time, and me being a big hater of the remakes/reboots/spinoffs/sequels/prequels trend of the past decade. I have to admit, I did NOT expect to enjoy it that much. it was really good and I don't understand the amount of bad criticism. while I expected to be one of the people who would hate this, I was pleasantly surprised and am now confused as to why so many people didn't like it.

  definitely better than the first one when it comes to the story and the performance, I would have preferred creepier deaths tho, the first one was a bit "scarier" in my opinion. in this one, a lot of the "scary" scenes were very goofy, but at least I had a good laugh. I think the gore scenes should've been practical effects instead of cgi because it did not look believable enough and scenes that could've been very spooky were just....…
