    This film is lightning in a bottle. You would think a movie so diffuse as this one, with so many different stories going on would make for an impossible watch. But it's impeccably balanced. Upon my second time watching La Cienaga, I almost felt like I was a part of the family... brought into the most intimate of perspectives and the most messiest of circumstances.     Giant monsters and space aliens wrapped in a tale of action, romance, comedy. What more can you want in this campy tale?

    I love how the "cure for all disease" is just a giant gold sponge. As if they're saying the cure for disease is just good hygiene. And is it weird that I felt emotional when the astronauts left Godzilla and Rodan behind on Planet X?

    Overall, it's was a lot of good fun. It drags from time to time when there's a lack of dialogue or music. But certainly not the worst Kaiju movie I've ever seen.
