ANIMATION: It's pretty great, it's an improvement from the previous in pretty much every sense (including the water, hurray!). I would say there's still some incoherence in the character design, but consider they have the main cast design locked in, and the newer characters generally looks good (if not uninspiring), I do think this is a minor issue.

Got to admit, it's very good at the classic animation art of playing your heartstrings.
The main problem with the animation is that it doesn't seems that coherent? Like individual pieces of designs are fine, but the characters and background seems to lacks of overarching art style. Not sure if it made sense, it could just be something in the color palette etc, but this is a problem even the cheapest dreamworks movie tends to not have. Also, the water animation is not as good as they clearly think it is with the amount of time it's shown.
