Was prompted to re-watch after listening to Ep. 68 of the Cinema of Meaning podcast.
This movie still gives me an emotional gut punch. Any film that tackles language, time, memory, and the human condition with this kind of visual artistry is a guaranteed win for me. More sci-fi like this, please.

Ambitious and somewhat flawed, but definitely worth seeing. Adrien Brody is fantastic, and the film immediately grabbed me with its soundtrack, VistaVision cinematography, and stylish typography. The first half truly grips you.
However, this film loses steam in the second half, and the ending feels strangely rushed considering the 3.5-hour runtime. Felicity Jones felt miscast, which is a shame because I usually enjoy her acting.
Despite its flaws, the film is full of energy and interesting ideas. I'm still turning it over in my head, which is always a good sign.
