  Without exaggeration, I almost drowned myself in tears. It’s shocking to find out that this was Dalle’s first film. She was the driving force from beginning to end. The chemistry between Dalle and Anglade is so pure and raw I would almost forget I was watching a fictional work. I know for a fact that every time this film comes to mind from here on out my heart will inevitably break into a million little pieces.

  Went into this blind thinking it was going to be just another musical. But man, I was in for a treat. You don’t have to like musicals to enjoy it. Any film lover would have a blast. It’s a movie about movies and covers one of the most important transitions in film history, going from silent to “talkies”. I can see certain scenes taken right out of this as inspiration for ‘Lala Land’ 

  Also, did not expect this to be as funny as it was. I was laughing all the way through.
