  It’s a cool feeling to watch something and know that it will be watched as a b-movie in the future. Kind of a mess, but I enjoyed it. Felt like it couldn’t decide where it wanted to go tonally and a lot remained unexplained (or underwritten), but still built up some good thrills. (As well as some surprising laughs!) Hunter Schafer gives a strong performance in her first lead film role, against a kooky Dan Stevens and Jan Bluthardt. I wish…

  Quest’auto può essere sistematica! Idromatica! Ultramatica! Potrebbe essere Greased Lightning! 

  Watched with Italian audio and English subtitles (songs still in English) and I felt like I was seeing this for the first time again. It actually almost made things “make more sense” as if it was originally an Italian movie portraying what they thought an American high school was like. Highly suggest!

  Got home tonight and randomly was like ok wait let me watch TÁR… Cate Blanchett not only giving one of her own best performances, but in general just one of the most impressive film performances. As well, such a great script and even with quite a long movie, every moment is filled with such control and intensity. Quietly epic and haunting. Fuck it, bumping this up to 5 stars.

  I have never seen a movie where everyone is tasked with “acting like a spy” so intensely and I am kinda obsessed with it. These characters are spies first, humans second. I feel like I am going to be annoying about Black Bag. (compliment) An overly talky movie in such a good way. Everything is so exact. Fun score. Hot!
