Wes Anderson’s features have become tired and over-saturated, but I love that later in his career he’s devoted himself to shorts—he hones his delightful love of the stage in this beautifully orchestrated story that never feels over the top

Beautiful, not terribly clear in terms of narrative, but dreamlike in its lack of linearity, lots to be left to the imagination (in a good way).

I cried when Philip Seymour Hoffman died, which surprised me. The crying did. It felt like the world hadn’t given him his due until his last few years, and he never had the chance to show us fully what genius he had in store.
