This movie has me hoooo humming instead of high hoooing… The authenticity from Rachel Ziegler was never there in this movie. A stark contrast to her acting in Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Speaking of contrast, there was another stark contrast between Gal Gadot who was enjoying her role as the queen and that of Rachel Zeigler who seemingly never wanted to be in her role as Snow White. The deviations from the original version were decent enough and the scenery was enough to entertain me in an otherwise dull and often forgettable experience. That all adds up to an average score.

A short classic about a woman living a life of crime to serve the purposes of the mob of men she chooses to hang around. Using her levers of influence she befriends a Christian politician who eventually develops romantic feelings for her. The politician has a choice, send her away to prison or live a life with her together. This criminal romance has its ups and downs with a simple tone throughout the film. Forgiveness in men is sometimes just as simple as it is, if you love someone enough you’ll believe they can change no matter what.

Most if not all the explosions were well timed and well placed. I was most impressed by the performance of Ken Wantabe. It’s so impressive to see how much he has grown as an actor over his career. The depth of his character in this film is worth watching. My gripe is that…

If you are a fan of the original 1979 ALIEN film from Ridley Scott, then you will love this film. The proper use of AI, the graphic horror of the appearances of the aliens, the perfect pacing of getting to know the characters before the death show begins, and the appropriate appearances and references to the other ALIEN franchise films make this movie very fun and entertaining to watch. Fede Alvarez really brought a lot of enthusiasm towards honoring the…
