Dunstan Thorn is the real winner here and why see two Robert De Niro's this weekend when I can see one Robert De Niro being the best character of all time as a cross dressing lightning pirate captain who is accepted by his crew. Also, after finishing the book I kind of like the film version better for both the romance and overall joy in seeing Mark Williams play a goat turned human.

The Secret of Moonacre 2008
A pretty loose adaptation of The Little White Horse and due to the fact that while the original tale had its gendered drawbacks, such flaws are further exacerbated in the convolution of this story that I would have enjoyed more if it just wasn't so standard and beholden to the fantasy tropes of that decade. It's not as good as all the talent involved should have made it even though there are still moments of wonder, but probably moreso for younger kids.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey 2020
Such a pretty and well-acted movie which features toe-tapping musical numbers that make this film feel like if Hamilton and the Greatest Showman combined without the distorting of historical figures. Definitely was a great Christmas watch. Also, standing ovation for Keegan-Michael Key for singing a great "villain" song. I was grateful that they did not overplay Buddy and the only weak link was Don Juan Diego.
Unpopular opinion: This is better than any Hallmark Christmas movie every created in forever.
