    go fuck yourself.

say what you want about the two previous strangers films, but they have passion and purpose behind them. they’re effective and they’re decent. i mistakenly thought a trilogy of films for the strangers would be derived from passion for the series, but now i understand it’s because of greed.

i first understood something was very wrong when our main characters hop into a push start BMW and use their very very new android phones. for context this…

Don’t shut the door all the way.

what a movie. i pretty much rewatch this annually and i saw it sitting pretty on my shelf and decided to give it a watch again. a little odd of me to choose a three and a half hour movie to watch at 1:30 am, though i think that attests to how captivating every moment of this masterpiece is.

scorsese is my favorite living director for a reason. even in his very old…

in that same category of films like bo burnhams eighth grade where it’s just a shockingly relatable look back into this very important developmental stage of life that isn’t reminisced upon too fondly. chris in this film feels like he doesn’t fit in, and the entire film really hinges on this fact and him not only finding himself, but also learning to be himself around others. it’s a brutally realistic portrayal of this age that i believe has the ability…

it’s simple and fun. would’ve liked it to have been filmed less statically. every now and again there’s a scene that tries something cool with the camera and it’s like, more of that please! fight choreography was ok. everything is made slightly cooler based on the no pain concept of the film, as without that this would be pretty damn bland. there is some good and creative violence here that i appreciated. it’s a pretty decent time. fun little violent movie.

watched this about a week ago and haven’t reviewed it since because i just don’t have much to say! i feel the same with most of bongs english language films in that they’re decent but don’t hold a candle to his other korean films. this is a beautiful looking movie and at its best when it’s just mark ruffalo or robert pattinson hamming it up on screen. thankfully there’s alot of that but there’s also a lot of other ideas…

man, how disappointing! i feel like when the trailer for this dropped i was one of the few people who was genuinely really excited for this. new captain america, Harrison ford and finally red hulk in the mcu! we’re talking about the aftermath of eternals finally! so many cool ideas that just are not carried out well in the final product. i was left either not caring for half of what was on the screen or found myself incredibly let…
