ROUTINES
STATEMENT OF THE PROJECT: From the field of Sociology, Pierre Bourdieu developed the concept of ‘habitus’ which covers actions and styles that seems to be an innate gift for determination, but this is socially constructed and engages the collective in the individual. ’Routines’ is an observational documentary about the labour and habitus of three Professors between spaces, prolongations of the time and repetitions inside the Academia: a place in where habits can be seem rigorously programmed, but at the same time they are perceived as totally natural. The film is an ethnographic analysis from the visuality about codes, rules and tacit forms that appear as a product of very internalized and rooted habits within an educational institution. The documentary wants to show how three Professors teach Fine Arts and use methodologies learned through empirical methods that have survived from the past. The labor routines of the protagonists generates constructed performances which are the result of the various tensions in the interrelation of the subjects. That situation determines ways of seeing and styles of representation. As a consequence, from a School of Fine Arts with a disciplinary systematization of the creative process and the use of a unique discourse, the research reviews notions such as: habitus, discipline and technology. ENUNCIACIÓN DEL PROYECTO: Desde el campo de la sociología, Pierre Bourdieu desarrolló el concepto de ‘habitus’ que abarca acciones y estilos que parecen ser un don innnato para la determinación, pero esto está socialmente construído, enlazando lo colectivo a lo individual. ’Rutinas’ es un documental observacional sobre el trabajo y el habitus de tres profesores entre espacios, prolongaciones del tiempo y repeticiones dentro de la Academia: un lugar donde los hábitos pueden parecer rigurosamente programados, pero al mismo tiempo son percibidos como totalmente naturales. El filme es un análisis etnográfico desde la visualidad sobre los códigos, reglas y maneras tácitas que aparecen como producto de hábitos muy internalizados y enraizados dentro de una institución educativa. El documental busca mostrar cómo enseñan arte tres profesores, usando metodologías de enseñanza aprendidas de manera empírica y que subsisten desde el pasado. Las rutinas de trabajo de los protagonistas van generando performances construidas que son el resultado de las diversas tensiones en la interrelación de los sujetos de estudio. Esta situación determina modos de ver y estilos de representación. Como consecuencia de ello, desde una escuela de arte con una sistematización disciplinar sobre el proceso creativo y el uso de un discurso único, la investigación revisa nociones tales como: habitus, disciplina y tecnología.
