So... a couple of new things

First things first a proper intro.

Sup I'm samstudios, but you can just call me Sam. Apparently I'm a dude now... that's been a fun discovery. I play alto saxophone, oboe, and piano. I also draw (duh) and write (maybe y'all can see some of my WIPs in the future). I'm also aroace.

I'm wanting to make this blog into an art blog for personal projects like my webcomic and book I'm writing. This means I'll likely draw less fanart for things.

This blog also probably will stop becoming a place where I reblog random things. This will start to stay as related to art as possible. I'll most likely make another sideblog for my unscheduled randomness in the near(ish) future. This blog will still remain my main blog because this is the blog I care most.

Some do's and don'ts for this blog:

  • DNI if you are homophobic and/or transphobic
  • DNI if you don't think aro/ace people belong in the LGBTQ community
  • This is a safe space for ALL IDENTITIES

I'm into Hollow Knight, Rain World, Outer Wilds, and Arcane. I will occasionally draw things for these fandoms. Past fandoms that I've been a part of have been Warrior Cats and The Owl House, and I might also post stuff pertaining to this.

I desperately need to ramble about Hatchy and Friends so I'm going to answer some of these for my own Hatchling.

  1. Does your Hatchling go by any name other than The Hatchling? If so, what?

Yes! I named my Hatchling Beryl. Mostly because especially at the start of the game they're always barreling into danger. Lol, just about my only reason, but I think Beryl is a good name for 'em.

2. How old was you Hatchling on their launch day?

So... hear me out: 16. Which is definitely young. Quite literally a hatchling, but I also I imagine the Hearthian timeline for maturing is a little different. This also makes Hatchling the youngest Hearthian to be yeeted launched into space.

3. Does you Hatchling use pronouns other than they/them? If so, which ones?

This one I've actually thought about quite a bit. As of right now, I'm gonna say noooooo, but that might change in the future.

My thinking on this is: well maybe once Beryl realized that there were more genders than just they/them (thanks to the Nomai), they started considering it for themselves. Still thinking on this one though, so again the answer might change in the future.
