Desde o surgimento das histórias em quadrinhos, os enredos com super-heróis são focados no espírito comunitário, confiança mútua, força e coragem, temas inspiradores para as áreas da Educação e Saúde. Entretanto pouco se sabe acerca do impacto das imagens dos super-heróis como recurso pedagógico e promotor de expressões de resiliência. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar as imagens dos super-heróis como recursos para a promoção de resiliência em crianças e adolescentes em situações de risco em ambientes educativos. Um dos resultados indicou que a maioria dos personagens fictícios viveu situações de risco como orfandade, abandono e abuso antes da fase de empoderamento. O estudo analisou relações entre adversidades da vida real de crianças desfavorecidas psicossocialmente e as adversidades da vida ficcional de personagens super-heroicos, em suas fases pré-superpotência (Pré-Capa/Pré-Máscara). A partir desses dados foi desenvolvido o objetivo de criar, executar e avaliar o impacto de uma intervenção positiva, apresentando como tema norteador o super-herói na fase Pré-Capa/Pré-Máscara. A intervenção foi realizada em uma escola pública, tendo como participantes adolescentes das séries finais do ensino fundamental. Os resultados obtidos revelaram que os participantes compreenderam e abstraíram os conceitos de risco, adversidade e ponto de virada. Isso lhes possibilitou discutir suas dificuldades cotidianas e buscar novas propostas de enfrentamento. Além disso, o grupo pesquisado evidenciou o entendimento de que o heroísmo não está atrelado apenas aos superpoderes, mas também a questões mais complexas, tais como: práticas relacionais de cuidado, bons tratos e reciprocidade com equilíbrio de poder. Ressalta-se a importância da condução dos encontros interventivos por um profissional preparado para realizar ações planejadas e testadas previamente.

Fortunately, there is a science-based approach that can protect Pakistan from both internal and external threats. It is appropriately termed, Invincible Defence Technology (IDT), because it assures invincibility, peace and even economic progress, to the nation and the military that employ it.

Its methods have been proven and adopted as part of the training of America's future commanders at Norwich University, a nationally respected and oldest military academy in the USA. IDT is further validated by 23 peer-reviewed studies carried out in both developed and developing nations. Its coherence-creating effect has also been documented on a global scale in a study published in the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation. When large assemblies of civilian IDT experts gathered during the years 1983 - 1985, international conflict decreased 32%, terrorism-related casualties decreased 72%, and overall violence was reduced in nations without intrusion by other governments.

Imagination provides an alternative mode of articulation in the psychotherapeutic setting. Engaging autonomous aspects of psyche places psychotherapy in creativity, thus leading to an authentic and meaningful subjective experience of soul. This thesis utilizes hermeneutic and heuristic research methodologies to explore the phenomenon of manifesting the psyche by means of the imagination. The author engaged in active imagination in an attempt to materialize the immediacy of an archetypal encounter related to the cut-off and marginalized aspects of the feminine psyche. Using the process of creating photographed imagery in order to understand the phenomena of the dark feminine and the imaginal encounter, the author found that the materialized image exerts influence upon the archetype or archetypal constellation.

Gender socialization is examined through a social psychological lens by applying identity theory and identity control theory. Current research from the fields of family and sociological social psychology are surveyed to provide a better conception of how the family operates as agents of socialization, and how identities that are cultivated and fostered in youth provide meaning throughout the life course and maintain the social order. The application of identity theory shows how gender is a diffuse status characteristic, which is salient in person, role, and social (group) identities, and also across social situations. Identity control theory is applied to show how emotions operate within an internal control system to stabilize gendered identities and perpetuate the social structure. Both theories are specifically applied to understand socialization dynamics that exist for children and families.

This study investigates the relationship between the personality type and cognitive-metacognitive strategies utilized by test-takers in reading comprehension tests. One hundred undergraduate Iranian English Foreign Learning (EFL) students participated in a reading comprehension test followed by a questionnaire and the Myers & Briggs Type Inventory. The questionnaire consisted of 30 cognitive-metacognitive items (Phakiti, 2003). These questions inquired about the thought process that occurred while completing the test. The 93-item Myers-Brigs Type Indicator (MBTI) questionnaire is a tool that provides individuals with a personality type. The study employed a quantitative data analysis where the input data was analyzed in two ways. First, descriptive statistics were used to describe the sample characteristics, and then a two-way ANOVA was calculated to obtain a general view of the relationship between the variables. A paper written following my time in the South Pacific, this essay examines how culture and language can have effects on perspective and worldview. Examples from Maori education and religious language as well as Australian Aboriginal language are used, with a final reflection on how this experience has broadened my worldview.

As the use of qualitative inquiry increases within the field of social work, researchers must consider the issue of establishing rigor in qualitative research. This article presents research procedures used in a study of autoethnographies that were written regarding the experience of being Jewish. In this project, the researchers utilized reflexivity, audit trail, triangulation by observer, peer debriefing, member check and prolonged engagement in order to manage the threats to trustworthiness as discussed by Padgett (1998). Implications of the project suggest that research procedures utilized by qualitative researchers to establish rigor are an important way to increase our confidence that the voice of the participants is heard, therefore fitting the mission of the social work profession.

This article explores the congruence between poetry therapy and the strengths perspective of social work. It demonstrates the ways in which poetry therapy is consistent with the strengths perspective and discusses methods for its utilization in direct practice settings. Case examples are provided to help the practitioner learn how to utilize poetry therapy with clients from diverse backgrounds. As a tool in strengths-based practice, poetry and poetry therapy can help empower clients and help to focus practitioners on clients' capacities and resilencies. This article seeks to expand upon the growing literature of strengths-based social work, addressing how the theory can be applied to clinical practice situations. This proposal investigates multitasking in the new Era of Data and communication, its effect on the working environment. The survey of writing relating to the subject demonstrates that compared with the advantages of multitasking, it also diminishes profit due to the lack of concentration, stress, addiction.

ABSTRACT

L’intreccio imprescindibile con le varie discipline umane, ha portato allo sviluppo di una pratica olistica che ha tenuto conto dei vari contributi multi-disciplinari nell’ambito delle ricerche fisiologiche e psicologiche (culminate quest’ultime nella metà del ‘900 con lo sviluppo della scuola  Cognitivista), rappresentando di fatto la matrice costitutiva di una Optometria moderna e al passo con i tempi.
Il coinvolgimento di variabili socio-economiche e di variabili comportamentali dettate dalle leggi della fisiologia e dell’endocrinologia, il coinvolgimento di aree del lobo frontale e del sistema limbico, sminuiscono l’ormai obsoleto concetto del raggiungimento dei 10/10 come situazione auspicabile e desiderata nell’affrontare i compiti in un ambiente che si è modificato molto velocemente nell’ultimo secolo con il progresso industriale.
Una miopia, un’insufficienza accomodativa e di convergenza, un astigmatismo funzionale e le varie condizioni astenopiche,  rappresentano problematiche che vengono viste come l’adattamento funzionale a una condizione visiva stressante (teoria ambientale) indotte dalla sovraconvergenza. L’optometria comportamentale si prefigge il compito di intervenire sui  radicamenti somatici che porterebbero il soggetto verso un’anomala modifica tissutale irreversibile per adempiere al compito prossimale compulsivo che deve ripetutamente svolgere; in primis rappresentato dalla scolarizzazione.
Le pratiche comportamentali a scopo preventivo, dall’utilizzo di lenti bifocali, alle RGP, all’ortokeratologia e al Visual Training, con descrizioni e statistiche che dimostrano i vantaggi molteplici ottenuti dal loro impiego, sono frutto delle esperienze evolutive nell’approccio funzionale che meglio si confanno alla risoluzione del problema visivo al fine di evitare il deterioramento “comportamentale”, constatabile nella progressiva tendenza all’esocentrismo e alla deficitarietà nella visione a distanza.
Lo stretto legame presente tra il sistema visivo e gli altri sottosistemi come ad esempio il sistema tonico posturale nell’intero processo di input e output sensoriale, il ruolo della visione nell’apprendimento, nelle relazioni sociali e nelle capacità attenzionali, le modificazioni sinaptiche indotte, rappresentano nel loro insieme l’area di lavoro e di interesse del modello Optometria comportamentale, la quale non avrà come obiettivo il solo miglioramento dello stato visivo del paziente, bensì un miglioramento dello stato generale, analizzando le influenze che la visione stessa genera e le influenze che la visione subisce, a dimostrazione di come la visione abbia un ruolo sensoriale predominante durante l’intero arco vitale.

Esta tesis de compilación bibliográfica pretende dar a conocer una visión integradora de la teoría del apego.
Con ese objetivo, abordaremos sus generalidades e ideas fundamentales; introduciremos el tema haciendo una perspectiva histórica donde veremos los métodos y procedimientos que se utilizaron en el desarrollo y evolución de la teoría, basándonos fundamentalmente en la obra de Bowlby y Ainsworth, sus pioneros.
Luego definiremos los conceptos básicos de la misma e incluiremos brevemente los aportes de otros enfoques de los que la teoría del apego se ha nutrido y complementado: la psicología cognitiva ,y procesamiento de la información, la etología, el psicoanálisis.
Daremos cuenta así, del carácter interrelacional de la perspectiva de apego, considerando la complejidad que implica, y desarrollando como corolario de ello el concepto de modelos operativos internos, uno de los conceptos claves en el desarrollo de la teoría.
A la vez, informaremos acerca de algunas investigaciones contemporáneas relevantes, viendo de esta manera el diálogo existente entre lo teórico-clínico y la investigación, lo que hace que el modelo cobre relevancia desde el punto de vista científico.
Veremos también los vínculos entre el modelo de apego y el psicoanálisis. Finalmente, reflexionaremos acerca de la actualidad y prospectiva de la teoría del apego.

Have you ever wondered in what way children acquired a language? What are their tools they use in order to acquire it? What are the differences between the children and us as adults in a language acquisition? These questions led the scientists to make researches and experiments in order to find answers. Scientists divided into four main approaches. Behaviourists, innatists, cognitists, and Interactionist are the four approaches. Every one of them discuss one aspect to understand the process of acquisition. The following essay will briefly discuss the first language acquisition approaches.

Art and psychotherapy are structurally similar. They both include crucial introjectional effects and reflections on present life. If introjections are not expressed in one way, it would not be surprising to see its devastation effects on psychology and mental health. Art has a protective function against this risk. That is why many types of art and different techniques have been used to treat various psychiatric illnesses. As being a good example of these arts “Ebrû ” is a branch which supplies a quick achievement by the doer and gives self-satisfaction to its artist in a short time. A therapy projects by the use of Ebrû is seen an important tool for the rehabilitation of certain patient groups.   

Based on this idea, I wrote a project proposal when I was a 3rd grade student at university. I received payment by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey).  I worked on the art of marbling  psychotherapy and art therapy about one year in Süleyman Demirel Hospital. This project namely “Hayallerinizi Renklendirelim” (Let’s color our dreams) is carried out at the hospital psychiatry ward for 12 months with the patients making Erbû under the watch of the doctors on duty. I finalized my project successfully. As a result, some significant positive changes and improvements are observed with the patients taking  part in the project by both the hospital staff  and the project conductors. In the presentation, it is aimed to show the current patients  interest in Ebrû, the behavior changes before and after the treatment with  Ebrû and their final works of Ebrû art.

Pre-modern, modern, and postmodern frames of reference have all helped shape important contemporary psychological theories and issues.  In this reflection paper, I  attempt to walk through and revisit areas covered in a psychology course, the end aim being to gain a measure of insight into where the field of psychology stands today.

ABSTRACT
Juvenile delinquency and crimes are serious problems all over the world. They are steadily increasing as years pass by and create many setbacks in development processes mostly in third world countries like Ethiopia specifically in Ambo correctional center whose mechanisms to deal
with the situation are weak. The main objective of this study was to assess major contributing factors, possible prevention mechanisms, and treatment for juvenile delinquents in West Shoa Zone, the case of Ambo correctional center. Specifically, the study explored the contributing
factors towards juvenile delinquency, the major prevention methods of juvenile delinquency, how the juveniles are handled in the Ambo correction center and, the features of the legal treatment of young offenders by zonal court office and Ambo correctional center. It was employed a descriptive survey that included both quantitative and qualitative methods. Data for the study were collected through opened and closed-ended questioners from a sample of 70 juvenile delinquents
found in the Ambo correctional center and unstructured interviews from three law enforcement  (West Shoa Zonal police guidance, court office and Ambo correctional center) a total of 12 (twelve) members were selected purposively. In addition, the researcher observed facilities/
services available for the rehabilitation program and physical facilities of the correctional center  (prison). The results showed that dysfunctional families, peer pressures, educational opportunity factors, ecological related factors, drugs factors, and inability to attain basic needs are identified as causes to become delinquents. Juvenile delinquency is a separate youth offenders institution that should be established which can provide educational, vocational, counseling services, and follow-up and aftercare rehabilitation programs based correction, mechanisms are highly recommended to tackle the problem.

Although scholarly attention has been paid to Ibn al-Qayyim's popular Kitāb al-rūḥ, the soul-related views of his master are still ignored. Hence, this paper traces some of these ideas in Ibn Taymiyya's Khalq al-rūḥ, in which he asserts the soul's origination rather than its eternity, so as to uphold the idea of God's essence. This paper consists of two parts. Part I problematizes Khalq in light of previous research, presents the sources of the study, and addresses some concepts that are significant for appreciating the development of its main argument. The five major arguments that Ibn Taymiyya invokes to justify his viewpoint shall be reconstructed from Khalq. Likewise, some of the ambiguities surrounding his identification of those who hold opposite views shall be resolved. Part II provides an annotated translation of Khalq.

This present research seeks to explore the nature of teaching culture through literature in the Departments of English in the Maghreb Universities. It attempts to confirm the fact that culture-integrated foreign language teaching holds an important place in foreign language education; it is still neglected within the Departments of English. Therefore, the aim of this paper is threefold: first to examine the situation of teaching and learning culture in the Departments of English and to make some practical realistic suggestions as to the way(s) the teaching of English should be reshaped to take account of the recent developments in intercultural studies with regard to foreign language teaching/learning pedagogy. The second aim stems from the belief that knowledge of the cross-cultural discourse operational patterns is necessary in learning a foreign language and that unawareness of cultural barriers may impede both learner's success and teacher's efforts.

El presente artículo se propone dar cuenta del elusivo fenómeno de la conciencia desde la original perspectiva de la neurofenomenología de Francisco Varela, quien a partir de nociones tales como neuroplasticidad, enacción y emergencia, explica, cómo ocurren los procesos cerebrales que fundan la conciencia y la “unidad” de la vivencia. Describiendo como la conciencia aparece en el vivir encarnado: en la regulación con el cuerpo entero; en sus relaciones sensorio-motoras con el mundo y en una red ínter-subjetiva de acciones y de lenguaje.

Abstract: Supportive Therapy To Reduce Positive Simtoms In Skizofrenia Paranoid Patients. Supportive therapy basically is used to change someone’s thought, behavior, and emotion towards the problems. It helps people to analyze the cases with the different and positive perspective. It has great proportion of suggestions, so it can motivate someone to do something based on the therapist’s order and without therapist’s compulsion. The technique of supportive therapy here is reassurance. This research is aimed to find out the effectiveness of supportive therapy in reducing the positive symptom on paranoid schizophrenia patient.  This research is structured in the Single Case Experimental Designs by using multiple baseline design. The analysis of this research uses visual inspection analysis in graphic presentation or diagram box with 8 times of frequencies before and after the supportive therapy is given. The analysis is also conducted through the integrity of the qualitative result including the interview description in every therapy encounters, observations, and notes to support the analysis of visual inspection. Measuring devices used in this research using a scale of schizophrenia positive symptoms which refers to the Likert scale. Based on the data analysis of the three research Subjects, it can be obtained positive symptoms after they are given 8 session of supportive therapy encounters. There is a reduction from the first and eight interventions. The result of this research can be concluded that supportive therapy can reduce the positive symptom on paranoid schizophrenia patients.

Many academic works of literature and papers discuss the issue of children's rights and protection today. Many laws and bills have been enacted to provide children with appropriate protection rights. However, many things have been done to eliminate cases involving children. The fact is that the number of victims among children is increasing year after year. Therefore, this article is written looking at the perspective of paedophiles themselves, as the cause of the increase in the number of victims comes from the proliferation of predators themselves. This article aims to analyse expert opinions on the causes of an individual's sexual orientation towards children. This article uses qualitative methods based on interview records with expert respondents. The study selected five individual experts as respondents of the study, thus debating their opinions in light of their experience and expertise in dealing with this issue. The study found that the main factor driving the paedophilia was that they had been victims of sexual abuse in childhood. As such, this article is essential to discuss to understand the situations and causes that drove the individual's psychology to change his or her sexual nature to young children.

The purpose of the study is to bring forth the reasons behind a venture failure and the positive aspects which impulse an entrepreneur to start another venture. According to my study the aspects are-the exposure and the experience gained after a venture failure, the increased level of confidence after the experience and exposure gained, adaptational attitude towards the business and towards the individual self, relational-self and collective-self after a venture failure.

This study aimed to improve the subjective well-being on Parents of children with special needs through emotion regulation training. This was a quantitative study with pre-test post-test one group design. The subjects of this study were 12 Parents whose children participated in the early childhood education activities on the RW of Umbulharjo subdistrict. The data collection instruments for this study were well-being scale, observation sheet, and interview guideline. The data analysis technique of this study was Wilcoxon formula to compare the score of pre-test, post-test, and follow-up. The result of this study showed that emotion regulation training could improve subjective well-being on parents of children with special needs. This study can be a reference for the guidance and counseling implementation unit on the university, lecturers, and the counselor to improve emotion regulation for improving subjective well-being on parents of children with special needs.
