DUAL IMMERSION
General Schedule
Students attend school from
8:35a.m. - 3:20 p.m. on Monday-Thursday,
8:35 a.m. - 1:05 p.m. on Friday.
Supplies
Community materials > Please do not send pencil
Folders
Students will be taking homework folders home
on Monday and they are due Friday.
The Mill Creek folder will be sent home on
Thursdays and they are due on Friday.

Classroom Management
Within the classroom every student has a card that always
starts on GREEN (Youre Ready to Go). Below are the
rewards and consequences that go with each color.
Black Youve found the Leader in You! (prize from the
prize bucket)
Blue Your leadership skills are growing
Green Ready to go!
Yellow Get back on track (Warning #1)
Orange Put first things first (Warning #2 & Loose
Choice)
Red- Take a breath and get control
I will be marking on classdojo as 3 warnings (Call/Email
home and will loose recess)
Please check Classdojo for your child's behavior every
day after 5:00 p.m.

Law enforcement referral
English Spelling: it will start next week for first grade. The formal
spelling list will not begin until the third unit of our Reading
program around October. We will inform you when the students are
ready to begin a weekly spelling list. The spelling list and test will
consist of six to ten words. The words will be presented on Monday,
practiced throughout the week, and tested on Friday.
Interconnections: We will follow the program outlined by Granite
School District for Science and Social Studies. This will be taught in
Spanish.
Newsletter
Maestra Jensen and Mrs. Steel: Will
send a monthly newsletter about the
material that will be covered in
Spanish and English class.

Mill Creek and the school PTA
will be sending or emailing
monthly news letters. Watch
for school news, activities,
and what is happening in our
community.
Homework
SPANISH: see Mrs. Jensens webpage for
activities that will help your child with visual
and audio learning experiences. If you want to
help your child be successful with learning
Spanish, do at LEAST 3 activities of your
choice each week.
ENGLISH: Look for reading,
spelling and sight word homework in the weekly
homework packets. It will be passed out each
Monday and due each Friday.
Spelling homework will begin in October
