MOLE CONCEPTS

Mole  the unit defined as the amount of particles ini a substance

1 mole = the mass (on gram) fitting with the Ar

In 1 mole of C-12 atom cintains 6,02 x 1023 of C-12 atoms.

The nomber of particles = mol x 6,20 x 1023 atom/molecule

 How Many Volume if 1 Mol Gas ?

At STP condition (0oC, 1 atm), volume of 1 mole gas is 22,4 L/mol

Gas volume = mole 22,4 L/mole

On non STP condotion :

PV

 The Application of Mole Concept in Definiy Chenical Formula

The chemical formula of a compound can explain or define the relative nomber of atoms in

the compound. There are two kinds of chemical formula, Emprical and Molecular Formula.

1. The Difference between Emprical Formula and Molecular Formula.

 The Emprical Formula (RE) of a compound is the simplest chemical formula owned by

a compound.

 Molecular Formula (RM) is the atomic number of each element within one molucule of the

substance.
2. Defining the RE & the RM of a Compound.
