Bible:
We will begin our next unit, which is Unit 3 Review: Creation through Joshua.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at Gods command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. * Memory work test will be given next Thursday.
Reading:
We will begin learning about nonfiction and discover how to effectively read non-fiction books. If you receive newspapers or magazines at home, encourage your child to identify different text features.
Units:
Our new unit is on forests. Students will learn about types of forests, what is going on in the forest, and some important roles forests play. We will also discuss Gods wisdom in creation of forests.

Joyce Inouye, a specialist in learning disabilities from California, has offered to give a presentation to CAJ parents on Wednesday (Nov.28) evening, at 7 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. Mrs. Inouye, a Japanese American, will share a biblical perspective of encouraging your children with their education. The talk will be applicable to all parents and especially to those whose children have unique learning needs.
Writing:
This Friday is the 3rd writing checkpoint. We will be collecting their Writers Notebooks. Please make sure your child has written at least 5 entries in their notebooks.
Math:
We will continue to learn about decimals: decimal addition and subtraction, keeping a bank balance, and measuring objects to the nearest 1/2 cm.
Do Hard Things
Dont let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
