Introduction
A research has been conducted on an Anthology which will give you an insight on the different
types of rhymes , jingles, songs, finger plays, prayers, stories and poems, for the different age
groups of children, ages 3, 4-5 and 6-8 years. This will allow the teacher/caregiver to know how
to use these to grab the children‘s attention and will enable them to learn while having fun doing
it.

Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down, and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Rain
The rain is falling all around,
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.

They trail behind her up the floor,
And ran after through the door.

Time to Rise

Hopped upon my window sill,
Cocked his shining eye and said:

I shall be very proud and great,
And tell the other girls and boys
Not to meddle with my toys.
