(Description)
1. Improve access to basic education through
strengthening capacity of schools to decrease
number of dropouts in all grade levels.
• Establishing division-wide rewards systems
to recognize schools and teachers with zero
dropouts
• Instituting division-wide programs that
would target and help learners identified by
schools as wasted and severely wasted
• Providing technical assistance to enhance
capacity of schools in conducting more
systematic home visitation program
• Enhancing capability of schools in the
implementation of guidance program
• Providing technical assistance to schools in
the conduct of early child development
assessment to determine readiness of
learners which would enable teachers adjust
classroom strategies
• Providing technical assistance to schools to
effectively conduct Parents Conference
• Other school’s strategy
2. Reduce number of OSY in the Schools Division of
Lucena City through the expansion of ALS
Program and inclusion in the SHS Program.
• Establishing additional community learning
centers in more barangays
• Developing alternative programs to
accommodate Grade 10 completers not
enrolled in the Senior High School (SHS)
• Establishing division-wide intensified career
guidance program for Grade 10 learners

3. Develop cultural sensitivity of schools to
encourage retention among the indigenous
peoples (IPs).
• Enhancing capacity of IPED coordinators in
the conduct of mapping activities in
indigenous communities
• Strengthening and expand implementation
of Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED)

• Providing technical assistance to schools on:
o strengthening stakeholder
partnerships to support the needs of
indigent learners
o the conduct of feeding program for
the IP learners
o developing strategies to decrease
dropouts among IP learners

4. Expand access to basic education at the
peripheries of Lucena City
• Establishing new elementary and secondary
schools, particularly in remote barangays
• Establishing stand-alone public senior high
school in Lucena City
• Ensuring enough complement of classrooms
and physical facilities, especially in schools
located in remote and peripheral barangays
• Improving conditions of existing physical
facilities of schools in remote locations

5. Better quality of education through
capacitating schools to achieve improved
performance in learning outcomes, particularly
in critical subjects
• Strengthening capacity of schools in the
implementation of reading improvement
programs
• Strengthening capacity of schools in the
implementation of program/project to
improve mathematical skills of learners
• Providing technical assistance to schools in
the preparation and conduct of activities
that would improve least mastered skills of
learners
• Providing technical assistance to schools on
instructional supervision
• Providing technical assistance to schools in
the preparation and conduct of
review/remediation classes
• Enhance capacity of school in integrating
