Design thinking:-

It is a wide concept be illustrated in brief. It is an approach which enables one to think deep
for any process or production to be carryout. Also it can be carrying out in any area design thinking
process detail with find goals or need, evaluate goals or need, generate proposal to satisfy goals.
Evaluate proposal, improve goals and proposal We are explained and illustrated deeply about design
engineering by our professor and have understood detailed description of design engineering from
internet. We have selected a domain/area under which we have to perform design thinking. Have
done observation attempted interviews collected data prepared sheets, logbook and brought a small
solution for problem. While performing this we come to know how to deal with the group members.
How to bring out effective works and ideas from different group member. Logbook preparation helps
us to keep records and data collected for
various days during our design engineering journey. Also it helps us tore call particular movements
while performing in design work.

Abstract

The construction the model is simply. Firstly the frame is made on which the other
components of the model are to be mounted on place where sun light is directly obtained. Frame
is made up of mild steel. The system is consider of three main component, the solar energy
collector, the solar distillation system and solar water disinfection system. The solar energy
collector is device that collect solar radiation and covert it into thermal energy for the and the
solar distillation process. Solar distillation system is similar to the conventional water distillation
system, except it does not vaporize the water at boiling temperature.

5. MIND MAPPING CANVAS

Mind mapping canvas refers to a technique that designers and engineers use to
express and generate ideas. All that mind mapping really is, however, is a way to get all of the
ideas in your head down onto paper. It is simply a visual representation of the thoughts in your
head, and it often looks like organized chaos.

Mind mapping canvas contains:-

Solution:-
Pneumatic rod bending machine
Parts:-

1. Pneumatic cylinder
2. Pressure gauge
3. Pedal operated pump
4. Frame

Need:-
1. Construction side to rod bending
2. Boiler manufacturing

Why to use this:-

1. Do not need to change in standard design
2. Easily adaptable
3. Less cost

Application:-
This machine is applicable to any industry/factory where the bending of
the rod (up to 4 mm) is required. For stirrup making process also it is applicable.

6. EMPATHY MAPPING CANVAS

Empathy map canvas used to develop a deep, shared understanding and empathy for
other people, an Empathy Map is a tool that helps describe aspects of user’s experience, need and
pain points. This framework allows you to quickly understand your user’s experience and mind
set.

Empathy is supported by the well-known Murphy’ law which can be rewritten as,
“Anything that can be lost will be lost.”
Empathy mapping canvas contains:-
Users:-
1. Rolling mill
2. Inspection engineer
3. Worker
4. Technical supervisor

STORY BOARDING

Happy story:-
This scaled up test bed of NEWT’s direct solar desalination technology uses carbon
black nanoparticles that convert as much as 80 percent of sunlight energy into heat. Results from
an earlier prototype showed the technology could produce as much as six liters of freshwater per
hour per square meter of solar membrane

Happy story:-

Families who where able to have clean and healthy water. Their time was also save which they invest in finding
and filtering water before which allowed to earn more because they have time to invest more in their work.

13
Sad story:-

In summer season during few days with higher temperature the water is insufficient and more contaminated
due to which there is load on this device, so special care is needed to this device during this periord.

Sad story:-
In various places don’t change or accept new things and technology.
They find this device to difficult to maintain, people don’t like idea of one-time heavy investment, etc

10. Conclusion
Solar water heating (SWH) is the conversion of sunlight into heat for water heating using a solar thermal
collector. A variety of configurations is available at varying cost to provide solutions in different climates
and latitudes. SWHs are widely used for residential and some industrial applications
A sun-facing collector heats a working fluid that passes into a storage system for later use. SWH are active
(pumped) and passive (convection-driven). They use water only, or both water and a working fluid. They
are heated directly or via light-concentrating mirrors. They operate independently or as hybrids with
electric or gas heaters. In large-scale installations, mirrors may concentrate sunlight into a smaller
collector.
