ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
October, 2019
On the first week of October, the students under the BSA program participated in
different events in the celebration of the 14th Founding Anniversary of CLB. They are awarded as
the champion in yell competition and 2nd runner up in modern dance competition. Other
institution-wide activities participated by the students are the Batangas City’s Alay Lakad last
October 4, 2019 and the Student Collaborative Learning Activity last October 7, 2019.
On the second week of October, the BSA students, through the initiative of the class
officers, finished and submitted to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) all the necessary
requirements for the recognition of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - CLB Chapter
(JPIA-CLB Chapter) as the official student organization for BSA students.
On the third week of October, a session of Reinforced Accounting Period (RAP) was
administered by the Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), Dr. Cabrera. It
was conducted last October 17, 2019. RAP is a program initiated by the Chairperson and
approved by the Dean. The intention of the program is for the enhancement of the knowledge
gained in Accounting and all Board-Exam related courses. The RAP is to be administered by the
Dean, the Chairperson, and other CPA faculty members. The students also participated in a
symposium about Teenage Pregnancy Prevention hosted by Campus Ministry last October 23,
2019.
Another notable activity that happened on the month of October is the initial curriculum
mapping. The objectives of this activity are to align BSA program courses to the related CPA
Licensure Examinations subject and to identify the possible contents and topics of the courses in
the program, which will aid in the preparation of courses’ OBTL. The said activity was headed
by Dr. Cabrera, and participated by Ms. Castillo and Ms. Ebora.
Among the minimal concerns being raised by the faculty members and students are the
following : (a) students fail to secure copies of the book / notes, as raised by their professor in
their law subject; (b) students are requesting for a place where they can stay during lunch break;
and (c) the homeroom (311) of BSA has no built in television.
To address the concerns mentioned above, the Chairperson conducted a short and
informal meeting with the students to remind them their responsibilities as students. A specific
place on the side of the school served as the place for them to have their lunch. The concern
about the television had been raised to the Dean of the College who held himself responsible in
escalating the concern to the school’s administration. For the meantime, there is an available
projector for the class everyday.
