My Favorite Painting

My favorite painting is the pencil-drawing of myself made by my friend Ronny. He made it

two years ago when I asked him to paint. He used my photo as object and made the copy of it on a
piece of paper by using a pencil. He put it in a frame and give it to me as a birthday present.
The size of painting is 30 X 40 cm. The media of the painting is drawing book paper , so it
thick and stiff. The image on the painting is my face with a bit additional sketch of my shoulder. It is
made by using pencil so the color is black, but it clearly shows the real appearance of my face along
with the shadow and the face contour. But my jaw looks smaller on the painting which makes me
seem thin. There is a signature of my friend at the bottom corner of the painting as the painter. The
painting is displayed in a wooden frame on the wall of my study room.

beginning, it was just like any other day. After I got home from school, I
played game on my computer with my sister. My mom was watching TV

house. I didn’t feel hurt that time. People had gathered at the open field with
their pale faces. Some of the children cried. My sister cried because our mom
was not there. We got separated. Later I realized that me and mom ran to
different direction. My mom yelled at me with panic and worry face. By then I
realized that I got hurt. My arm was bleeding because of the fallen roof. It
was really hurt. I cried because I was afraid of blood. But, what’s more
hurting was when I saw my neighbours. Their houses had broken and
collapsed. Our neighbourhood was shattered. The earthquake hit for several
